Toast burns
MUMS
from the Pat-a-Cake Playgroup in Rawmarsh, South Yorkshire, are furious after being banned from serving tea and toast on health and safety grounds. The group, which caters for up to ten children, have been barred by their local council from having snacks during their weekly sessions. If they fail to follow the edict they could end up by losing their free playtime at the local library. Julie Brown, 44, a mother-of-two who runs the group said: “We have been told the ban on tea and toast is to do with the council’s health and safety policy. Tea and toast are very popular and other toddler groups do this. The children love a slice of toast.” Daily Mail 9/2/07.
