BIRDLOVERS Deborah and Graham Shearer can carry on feeding the birds in their garden 
after a council apology. The couple were warned by health and safety bosses not to give food to the feathered friends at their home in Simmondley, Glossop, after complaints. But High Peak council now says it will review its procedures. Mrs Shearer, who has been feeding birds since she was a teenager, said: “I’m just glad its finally been sorted out.” Council chiefs said there had been complaints that the birds were noisy and that birdseed might attract rats.
